Hello and welcome to my architecture blog- a project that probably will probably see few eyes other than my own. My goal with this blog is to maintain a record of all the history and building technique that my design education has lacked thus far. I view these entries like practicing at home for musician- as exercises and records that maintain my current understandings and propel me to deeper levels and more interesting pursuits. To this end, I'm feeling particularly inspired by Bach: The Learned Musician- a great biography of my favorite composer, J.S. Bach.
The intro out of the way, I feel a great place to start is to blog my way through the 11th edition of Ramsey and Sleeper's Architectural Graphic Standards. The layout of the book makes going cover to cover easier by following the process of actually constructing a building.
As a last note I'd like to add- any changes to layout or design of the page or going to have to wait til after the wedding- it's the most important, wonderful day for me right now.
